6. Summary

The story is about a young boy and his father, who share a deep love for engines and engage in various activities together.

They build and fly a kite and a fire-balloon, create a tree-house, play with a bow and arrow, stilts, and a boomerang, and even build a soap-box racing car.

The boy greatly enjoys his time with his father, who encourages his mechanical skills.

While his eighth year is full of exciting adventures and fun, he anticipates that turning nine will bring even more excitement, although he hints at some challenges ahead.
