Mike had a problem with his homework. He decided to send an email to Annie and ask her for help. Annie is an astronomer and she studies the sun, the stars, the moon and all the planets.
Dear Annie
I have to write an essay about the planets and the Solar System, but I don’t know much about it. I wonder if you can give me some information.
Yours sincerely,
Mike Jones

Dear Mike
Here is an article for you to read. Please write again if you have any more questions.

The Solar System
There are eight planets in our Solar System. All eight planets revolve or move around the sun in circular paths. These paths are called orbits. The Solar System is made up of two parts, an inner Solar System and an outer Solar System.
The inner Solar System contains four planets. They are Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars. These planets are heavy because they are mostly made of rocks and metals.
The planets in the outer Solar System are Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. These planets are very big, but they are not very heavy because they are mostly made of gases.
