The   tomato   plant

Mike   planted 
some   tomato   seeds
in   the   soil.


He   watered   
the   seeds 
regularly.

After   two   weeks,
the   seeds 
started   to   sprout. 


Mike   could   see 
some   tiny   green   leaves
on   little   stems.

After   three   more   weeks,
his   plants 
were   growing   taller. 


He   waited   
and   waited. 


One   day,
he   saw 
some   yellow   flowers 
between   the   leaves.  


After   a   while
little   fruit   appeared
and   the   flowers 
fell   on   the   ground.  

Mike   was   very   excited
about   his   tomatoes. 


He   waited
until   the   tomatoes
were   big   and   ripe.  


Then   he   picked   them.  


He   gave   some   tomatoes
to   his   mother
and   sold   the   others
to   the   neighbors.

Mike   asked   his   mother
to   save   some   seeds.  


He   wanted   
to   keep   the   seeds   
because 
he   could   plant   them 
and   grow 
more   tomatoes.
