Part 1
Lily went on a trip
with her classmates.
First, they traveled
to the Sahara Desert
in North Africa.
They stayed in tents
at an oasis.
There were
some palm trees
and some water
in the oasis.
At night,
it was very cold,
but during the day
it was very hot.
They woke up early
in the mornings
and rode on camels
into the desert.
There was no shade
away from the oasis,
so Lily and her friends
wore hats.
They also took
some food and water
with them
because there were
no stores.
They saw sand dunes
everywhere.
