Comprehension: a. Read: Hobbies Last week a photographer and a reporter from a big magazine office came to Maggie’s school.
The photographer took photographs and the reporter asked the students about their hobbies.
Then they went back to the magazine office and gave the stories and the photographs to the editor.
He checked the stories and put them and the photographs together in the magazine.
Read what the students told them:
Maggie’s friend, Linda, likes collecting “Hello Kitty” toys. Sometimes she meets her friends and they play with their toys.
Mike’s hobbies are riding his bicycle and playing computer games on the internet after school.
Mike’s friend, Peter, likes collecting stamps. He also likes writing letters to people from different countries.
When they write back to him, he puts the stamps from their letters in his stamp collection. He has about two hundred stamps.
Tammy’s hobby is baking cookies and Maggie’s hobbies are painting pictures and reading. She loves reading books about animals.
